On a recent visit to the botanic gardens in Sydney, I found plenty of roses still flowering. I rather liked a few of them, so decided to try and find a little information about each one as I don’t know much about individual rose species or varieties.

The first one is Rosa Koramsaro It’s Magic! I like this particular floribunda rose for its red and white stripe. The double flowers appear in clusters from spring through to autumn.

Rosa ‘Coconut Ice’ is the next roast that I liked on the day. The flowers here are pink with a white reverse. Again, this rose has double flowers which appear from spring to autumn and apparently spot flowers through winter.

The next rose is produces bright yellow double flowers, and is called Rosa ‘The Golden Child’. The flowers also have a nice fragrance.

Next up is my favourite rose of the few that I saw on this visit, because its got lovely purple flowers. It’s Rosa ‘Stebigpu’ Big Purple. I love purple flowers

The last rose is Rosa ‘Korberberi Golden Beauty’. It’s a floribunda rose with flowers that are a soft orange colour.
