Spring and summer seed sowing plans decided

In an attempt to be really organised for the spring and summer growing season, I have looked through what seeds I have. I have decided on what I am going to grow over this time period. It is a rather epic list, but doing a little seed sowing often is the way for me to go.

I’m hoping for plenty of tomatoes

I am aiming for mostly food, with some rudbeckias thrown in for good measure. I will still have things like my nasturtiums growing strong, so it will be a busy patio garden.

Here is my list:

  • Tomatoes-Blue Berries, Jane’s Uzbeck, Jaune Flamme, Legend, Nonna Peppina’s, Tommy Toe, Pink Bumble Bee and San Marzano. They are a mixture of beefsteak, saucing, salad and cherry tomatoes. At home, we all love tomatoes, so the more the merrier!
  • Cucumber-Spacemaster and Double Yield
  • Pumpkin-Jack Be Little
  • Beans-Lazy Housewife, Painted Lady and Speckled Cranberry
  • Sweetcorn-Golden Bantam and Glass gem
  • Chillies-Maui Purple, Early Jalapeno and Joe’s Long Cayenne
  • Capsicums-California Wonder, Seven Colour Mix and Sweet Chocolate
  • Rudbeckia-Prarie Sun and Sahara

I am also going to order in some things, as they are just tasty and handy to have in the kitchen. The seeds I’m going to order in are:

  • Leeks-King Richard
  • Spring onions-Evergreen Trident and Red
  • Sprouts-Red Rubine and Long Island
  • Potatoes-Dutch Cream, Kipfler and Desiree

Those are the my initial seed sowing plans for the coming spring and summer. They could change, of course, but if I slowly start getting everything ready and keep going with the snail patrols, it should be successful.
