Wildlife at work

Today was mowing day at work. On such a day, I get some good waterside views over the water towards the mangroves and across the other side of the bay.

On the bay today, I got lots of good views of the birds that call it home, and I got a few photos. It was only with my phone camera (which isn’t a bad camera as these things go) and not with my Nikon camera unfortunately as it was a good day for a spot of photography!

I can’t tell what this bird is, but the rock it is on was rather popular.

This pelican was enjoying a swim across the bay. There were a couple of others around too.

I also saw plenty of fish in the water when I looked into it and many were jumping out of the water. I normally only see this in the early morning, but it was an all day thing today. I’m not too sure why, but that gives me a chance to learn something new!

This is one of the things I do enjoy about my work. Seeing nature up close, especially in urban areas, is one thing that brings me a lot of joy most days.
