My weekend away

While not gardening, I thought I’d share with you some of the things I saw while I was on a weekend trip away. On our weekend away, we stayed just outside a little town called Bellingen, located in the mid-north coast area of the state of New South Wales here I Australia.

The town of Bellingen’s location compared to Sydney (from Google Maps)

We stayed in a little hut at Levanvale Farm outside Bellingen, although I didn’t take any pictures of the hut itself. No electricity, no internet and plenty of peace and quiet, although the best bit was the most amazing view-I would love to live with that view full time!

While we were in the area, we took a visit to the beach. We aren’t sunbathing people and the weather was a bit cold for swimming, but we had a nice walk and came across some interesting rocks (geology is something that I find interesting too).

Not really sunbathing weather at the beach

Where we were staying was quite far from anywhere, we got a great view of the moon and stars in the sky-you don’t get this sort of view of the sky in Sydney!

It was a very lazy weekend enjoying being in nature and I loved every minute-I just wish that I had time to stay for longer!
