Sometimes I do wonder what goes through people’s heads. I saw this cycad at work today with all the leaves chopped off.

I can’t say who did it, but it wouldn’t surprise me if it was a local resident as I doubt that my colleagues would do something so daft!

Where this cycad is located, the leaves on the left of the photo would have spread over the jasmine and out of the pathway. I understand why the leaves were removed on that side (even if it would look terrible), but why every single leaf?

Yes, this particular cycad is in a space too small for it to be happy, it is rather irritating that this has been done-the whole plant should be removed instead (but that takes more work, of course, so whoever the culprit is clearly couldn’t be bothered).

I am hoping that the plant can recover, just because I don’t like seeing stuff like this. If it isn’t improving next time I’m in the area, I’ll probably remove it.
