My jobs in the garden today

I haven’t really done that much in my garden recently as I have been that busy and tired from work-I haven’t had the energy to do that much at home!

This morning, I have potted up many of my seedlings, including tomatoes, onions, beetroot, cabbage, beans, cucumbers and cauliflower/brussels sprouts (can’t tell the difference at the size they are, my cabbages have a reddish hue). I still have some more seedlings to pot up during the coming week as I didn’t have enough larger pots to put the plants into.

With my other crops, my tomato plants are all growing well. I still only have one tomato plant with tomatoes growing on it, but I think the others will be there soon. My chilli and capsicum plants are growing nicely too, as are my beetroots. All my cucumber and pumpkin plants are growing really well with all of them flowering. My onions and beans are growing strongly too.

I haven’t sown any more seeds today as I’m going on holiday in less that’s two weeks and I don’t want to end up with dead seedlings when I get home!

The weather over the past couple of weeks has been very humid but mostly sunny. There has been 28.5mm of rain so far this month, according to my new weather station. Thankfully, we haven’t had any crazy temperatures for the time of year-mostly around 30 degrees Celsius, but because of the humidity sometimes felt a lot warmer!
