A week of epic rain!

This week, we have had lots of rain-my weather station says we have had a total of 162.8mm so far and it’s only Thursday (thankfully, we haven’t had any today)!

Thankfully, I haven’t had to water any of my plants this week and most of them have come out unscathed, with my pumpkins seeming to have loved it! My tomatoes are still growing and I now have flowers on my beans, which are a really pretty colour.

One problem that I have just seen are some caterpillars on my tomatoes, and they are too high on the tomato plant to reach them! I don’t want to use any chemicals on my home-grown food, so I hope they disappear soon! I will check them out later to see if there is anything I can do and even what species they are (I’ll update you next time).

I again haven’t sown any seeds this week as I’m going away on holiday on Monday. While I’m away, I will but putting the bare bones of a plan together for sowing my seeds for veg and flowers. I will have some time to relax and think about what I would like to grow over the next year and the amounts of them, without the distractions of work, chores and most other aspects of life that you don’t have on holiday! I will, of course, be enjoying time with my family and visiting new places so it wont all seem like work!
