Things I’ve loved this week

I always enjoy sharing things related to plants on a Friday. At the end of each very busy work week I am always tired and ready to relax and recover. I like to add a bit of a positive note about what has caught my interest over the week.

The pretty flower below is an everlasting daisy or Xerochrysum bracteatum. These flowers are a native of my adapted home of Australia.

Here are some more Corymbia ficifolia flowers, just because they are my favourite flowers of the moment.

Below are lantana flowers. Lantana is a problem weed here in Sydney. The plant also has a smell that I really don’t like as well, but I do like the flowers

This next picture is of the trunk of a gum (Eucalyptus) tree. I find the fact that they have these ‘wrinkles’ on them interesting. Don’t ask me why, but I’m wired like that!
