This morning has involved getting out fairly early to go and get some potting mix. Without that potting mix, I wouldn’t have been able to get on with my gardening this morning. I much prefer get out and about early so that I can get my jobs done, so I was happy that I woke up relatively early this morning.
Once I got home again, I immediately started to pot up some of my seedlings. Most of my tomatoes, chillies, capsicums and Brussels sprouts have now been potted up and placed outside. A few have been kept inside for the next few days as they have been potted up into smaller pots and it’s rather warm today! They will be put outside the next couple of days. For the seedlings that I haven’t potted up yet, they will get potted up later this week too.
I also potted up my cauliflower plants that looked healthy. I have four that are now in their new pots.
Elsewhere in the garden, things are going well. This is that same broccoli plant that’s still flowering away. It still makes me smile.
The most exciting news of all today in my garden is the fact that one of my nasturtium plants has got a flower bud opening. I am looking forward to seeing the flower once it’s opened up. All my nasturtium plants have flower buds on them, so it won’t be long before I have plenty of showy colour in my garden!
Over the next week, I will be busy in the garden catching up with all my potting up. I will also try and get some more seed sowing done too-I was hoping to get some done this weekend, but I just don’t have enough space today. This time nest week, it should all be done!
As for the weather, we have had a cool week overall. Over the past couple of days, we have had warmer weather. Yesterday, we have had a high of 27.7 degrees Celsius. As I write, it is 26 degrees outside, but we could reach a high of 31 degrees Celsius.
Over the next week, the weather will be typical of spring, with highs ranging from 18-30 degrees Celsius. My plants won’t know whether they are coming or going!
