It is pretty much routine now that when I get home from work, I have to go out into the garden with Cuddles the cat. As instructed, I got out into the garden and had a look around. I haven’t done anything out there today, although I will have to do some watering later on.
The third lot of seed potatoes that I bought are finally getting going properly. They are a lot smaller than the other two varieties, but the important part is that they are growing! Im sure they will catch up with the others over the next few weeks as it continues to get warmer and the days longer.

Here are my potatoes that are growing the best. There is certainly a size difference!

Last weekend, I potted up some onion and leek seedlings. These ones are struggling a little at the moment, with some having died over the last few days. The others, in another pot, are doing a little better than these. The soil isn’t as dry as it looks-under the surface, it is still damp.

My broccoli flowerhead is still looking great. I am really enjoying seeing it every day as I look out the window into my garden. While I do want to grow plenty of food in my garden, I do like having flowers around as well.

My broad beans continue to give me their best flowering show. I am enjoying seeing these flowers too. There are no obvious beans yet, but I really need to have a little patience. Plants don’t usually work on a fast timescale-they take as long as they take, no matter how quick I would like things to happen!

Nasturtium flowers are the flowers that I am most looking forward to seeing at the moment. There are two flower buds on this particular nasturtium. I can’t remember which variety this is, but I will really enjoy the flowers when they appear.

That’s all for my gardening walk for today. I will be out in the garden tomorrow doing some pottering around. I will be doing some potting up, tidying and some seed sowing. I’ll keep myself quite busy, which will do me good!
