What’s the longest trip you’ve ever taken?
The term ‘longest trip’ can mean a couple of different things-it can mean distance travelled and the amount of time spent travelling.

Being English, coming to Australia is one of the places about as far as I can go from my native England. When I got here 14 years ago, that was the furthest I’d been in distance. I came to Australia to live, I just haven’t moved back to live in England. I have no interest in doing so neither. I don’t hate the place, I just prefer Australia which is why I am still here. This is despite the fact I thought I’d be here a year and then go back after a year before I came (and the fact my family think I should be back now).

So, there are two ‘longest trips’ going on-distance and time.

Since I moved to Australia, I have done a decent amount of travelling to New Zealand, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and Vietnam. They are endlessly fascinating and interesting countries, just like Australia. They are also closer to where I now live.

The ‘trip’ hasn’t yet finished and doubt it ever will. The rest of Australia and the Asian continent is waiting for me to carry on exploring. I just have to wait until I find the time and resources!

Australia is very beautiful. I think it would be a great place to visit. We are in Florida. I think the snakes and some of the wildlife would make me choose my area carefully.
Have you run into many poisonous snakes or is this just an urban legend? curious.
I have seen an eastern brown snake before, but that was about ten years ago. It does happen, just not very often!
The quality of your life is often shaped by what you allow into your mind and what you allow to leave your mouth.
Choose thoughts that strengthen you and words that bring peace. You can’t take every thought seriously or every word back once it’s spoken. Protect both—they quietly shape your life. ❤️
