Flowers for a Thursday

After another busy week at work, I do have some bright and cheerful flowers to mark the end of my working week.

Clivia flowers are always a favourite of mine at this time of year. Of all the different shades of orange, the deeper orange of this cultivar is my favourite.

I do enjoy seeing geranium flowers because they are so bright and colourful. I don’t like the smell of them at all, but the flowers are really pretty!

Roses are appearing already! We are still in winter here in Sydney and I am enjoying seeing them again. This pale pink one is a looking great at the moment-it will be nice when there are more on the same shrub.

Pink rose

While the pink rose above is lovely, I do prefer roses that have a bit of a multi-coloured thing going on. The rose below will look great when it’s fully open.

Yellow and red rose

I have to include this tibouchina flower because the colour is so fabulous. I love purple and the flowers stand out in the landscape when they are around.

It won’t be long before cammelia flowers are done for the year, so I’m going to enjoy them while I can. I have to say that these red ones are my favourite this year.

Red camellia-my favourite

These are my favourite flowers from my week. The bright and colourful flowers are clearly my favourite, even though the younger me would have despaired at liking these bright shower flowers!
