I ended up an another bush walk yesterday, which I can’t complain about in any way-its one of my favourite pastimes. I was out walking with my husband this time. While it was more of a walk than a potter while taking photos, I still managed to take a few. These photos are why I love the bush here in Australia-it is rather scruffy and tatty, and it’s full of life. We heard and saw so many birds enjoying the sun yesterday.

The colours are rather muted a lot of the time, especially in the shade. I like that though-I don’t always need the showy flowers to keep my happy around plants!

I love the colours and form of gum trees. I have done since I moved to Australia. It’s mainly because they look so different to the trees in England. I like seeing ‘different’, it keeps life interesting.

Looking around as Im walking, I often wonder what is over in the distance. I often wonder what’s up this hill. I can’t get to it though-there is the river and a fair amount of scrub in the way. Its a nice view though.

Here is some more Sydney sandstone for you. In yesterday’s post, I showed a really nice example. While this isn’t as colourful, I quite like the bands within the this rock.

While brief, that’s all I have from my walk yesterday afternoon. It was a very pleasant walk in the bush. The sun was out, the birds were making a lot of noise and I got my exercise in. For me, it doesn’t get much better!
