Again, some new plants today. I do enjoy learning some new plants as I go along, so here we go.

This is Euphorbia dendroides, or tree spurge. I do like this species for the contrast of greens between the flowers and leaves. If kept tidy, this native of the Mediterranean region is a welcome addition to a garden.

Another new plant that I have never seen before is what I think is Egyptian star cluster, Pentas lanceolate. It’s native to parts of Eastern Africa and the Arabian peninsula. This is why I like working in different places sometimes-I get to find random plants that I know nothing about. It encourages me to learn about new plants, something that I enjoy doing.

I have a couple of different Osteospermum flowers for you now. The purple one is my favourite, but the white one is also very pretty. I enjoy seeing any daisy flowers on my travels. They come in many colours and sizes, which makes them interesting.

Rhododendron flowers are alway delightful to have in a garden. I may have mentioned before that I’m not a fan of these shrubs in general for one reason. Here in Sydney, rhododendrons always seem to have azalea lace bug, which makes these leaves look as bad as they do in this photo. Too much summer warmth and humidity isn’t great for these plants, unfortunately.

I have enjoyed working around more flowering plants this week. I am back to normal for next week, so will have to try and match it for interesting plants! How well I will do, I can’t answer-but it does give me a bit of a challenge-to find a reply interesting plant, not just a pretty one!
