While I was busy pottering in the garden yesterday, I forgot to stake my new broad bean plants, so I did it earlier today. The little plants were at the point of needing to be tied to stakes anyway, but we have had more rain today, so that the taller ones were going on a bit of a lean!

They have now been staked and look a little tidier, if nothing else. I also had a look ant my sweet peas, which also needed a little staking.

What my garden needs more than anything at this moment in time is some dry weather, preferably with some sunshine! I shouldn’t complain that I am getting rain, as getting rain is a good thing, but I would much rather have a day of heavy rain and then get the sunshine back! Unfortunately, I can’t control how the weather works, but it would be jolly nice to see a day of sun without any rain.
