Sunday seed sowing

Today, I have done a quick seed sowing session of five different lots of seeds. They are a mix of flowers and food, so the best of both worlds.

The first seeds sown were Sweet Alyssum ‘Carpet of Snow’. It’s a very nice annual with pretty white flowers. I’m not sure how they will do as the best before date on the packet is July 2025. If I get one plat, I will be happy.

I have also sown some Blue Sea Holly seeds. I saw some of these plants last year on my travels around London. I decided there and then to get some seeds when I got back home as it’s a really pretty plant.

I love these flowers!

I have also sown some Cornflower ‘Blackball’ seeds, mainly for the very deep purple flowers. They very pretty and will be a welcome addition to my garden.

Now for the two lots of food seeds. The first is my Onion ‘Amposta Purple’ seeds, because I like onions. We use them a fair bit at home, so why not?

Strawberry ‘Temptation’ is the final lot of seeds I have sown today. Who doesn’t love strawberries? If they grow, they will go down a treat.

My seed sowing efforts this morning

The rest of my garden is going well so far. More of my ‘Purple Podded Dutch’ pea seeds have germinated since yesterday and there doesn’t seem to be any pest dramas.

Until next time, happy gardening!
