As I’m away for the weekend, I did a brief bit of gardening yesterday afternoon, just to make sure that things are ok while I am away.
First up was staking my broad beans, as they became a bit droopy.

I have also potted up my remaining cosmos plants. They got put into one of my potato bags I used previously. I am hoping they will be a little happier now that they are in a bigger pot.

I haven’t had to water anything this week as we have had a fair amount of rain over the last few days-so far we have had around 40mm this week so far.
Elsewhere in the garden, snails are rather active again. My beans that were, and surprisingly still are, flowering well, have almost no leaves left.

I also have some more tomato flowers, but no more tomatoes yet. If I don’t see any tomatoes soon, the plants will be removed to make way for other plants.

My dahlia is growing well still, but I really don’t know whether it will flower again before next summer.

With the seedlings that I potted up last weekend, I still have most of them, with a few losses too. of the ones that are still here, they are growing well and will continue to do so.

In the mean time, I am enjoying some cooler weather. We had the best thunderstorm for years last night. It brought with it some cooler weather, which is so nice compared to the recent heat and humidity of recent weeks!
