What a difference cooler temperatures seem to make!

Now that it is autumn, the temperature has started to go down, even if it’s only two or three degrees on some days, compared to last month (February). The plants in my garden seem to be appreciating this slightly reduced temperature and I have to agree with them!

I have flowering beans that are looking really happy at the moment. They are flowering really well so far, with their purple flowers a welcome decorative addition to my garden.

My broad bean seeds have all germinated, as have my peas. I am hoping to get plenty of peas and beans for cooking this year!

Three sweet pea seeds have germinated too. I’m hoping the rest appear soon.

From the rest of the seeds sown last weekend, my brassica seeds have germinated best so far, with another one or two popping up too. The seeds I’ve recently potted up are also happy.

As for tasks to complete in the garden, I am going to sow seeds from my sweet pea shopping spree (you can read which ones I chose here) this evening when I do some watering.

That’s all for today. Until next time, happy gardening!
