Neighbours can be good or bad and I’ve had a few of both in the past, for varying reasons for both.

Good neighbours are people who are friendly but don’t intrude into your life unnecessarily. It’s great if good friends are made but if you can keep friendly that is enough for me. Tidy gardens with no rubbish strewn everywhere, no noise in the middle of the night (but a little tolerance and understanding are needed also-you can’t expect people to be quiet by eight every night of the year), and no anti-social behaviour all help make a good neighbours.
