This weekend, I spent some time away in Canberra so I haven’t had much time to do any gardening. I have done the standard jobs like watering, as and when needed, along with checking on my plants daily. I will need to sweep up the patio once it’s dried up from when I was watering my plants.
I have only sewn one type of seeds today, which are some peas-specifically Franks’ Pea-an Australian Heirloom pea from 1853. They can be eaten as snap peas when young or as shelling peas when they are mature. They also have lovely pink-purple flowers before the pea pods appear-ornamental as well as edible, which I like.

Of all my other seedlings, there are growing really well. I have lost three or four seedlings, but that isn’t a problem-you will never have a 100% success rate in gardening. My tomatoes, beetroot, chillies, brassicas, onions and flowers are all going really well so far. Not everything has germinated yet, but I’m happy with te results so far. I have one been that has now germinated, but I don’t think that the others will be far behind.

The weather over the past week has been lovely. We have had lots of sun this week and temperatures have been nice and warm. Our high temperature this week was 25.4 degrees Celsius-the lowest overnight temperature was 9.9 degrees Celsius. We had 3mm of rain overnight this week, which is even better.
My gardening this week has been short and sweet, but next weekend will likely be busier and more crazy with the gardening!
