When I was in Belfast Botanic Gardens, the roses were some of the nicest that I have ever seen. Here are my favourite few that I was able to find the names of.

This lovely hybrid tea rose is called ‘Red Gold’. I love the colour. It repeat flowers and has a light scent.

Next I have ‘Paddy Stephens’, another hybrid tea rose. Again, I think that the colour is lovely. It has ‘shapely’ double flowers, that are also scented. The rose is known for free-flowering.

My third choice is another hybrid tea rose. White and cream flowers are normally a bit boring for me, but add some sort of colour and I suddenly like them a lot more! This one is called ‘Nostalgia’.

The ‘Fellowship’ rose is a floribunda rose, whose flowers are orange and scented. I think that this is my favourite rose of the few I have chosen. Orange flowers are always a favourite. They repeat flower and have an interest shape compared to other roses.

These lovely pale pink flowers belong to ‘Joire de Vivre’. Another repeat flowering rose with double flowers and rosette-shaped.

The ‘Queen of Denmark’ rose is a white rose that is still rather pretty, even though white is far from my favourite colour.

When I was walking through the rose garden within the Belfast Botanic Gardens, i had a really good time. The roses were all really healthy looking and enjoying the sunshine. The area was really well maintained by the garden staff, with plenty of visitors enjoying the flowers.
