Today is a sort of good day, as I am again moving to a different site for work. I can’t say for certain that I’ll be happy where I’m going to, but it can’t be any worse! Today, I will show the best horticultural bits of where I have left, mainly because I am fed of feeling terrible and want some positive back in my working life.
I can’t say that I know what salvia this is, but I do love the colour of the flowers. Deep purple is a very underrated colour as far as I’m concerned and I hope you can see why!

I think this is the trunk of Corymbia citriodora, or lemon-scented gum. If it isn’t that particular species, it will be a related species. Either way, the bark is rather interesting to look at with the colours and patterns on the bark.

This is the bark of an ironbark tree, although I can’t say for certain what species, beyond a species of Eucalyptus. I again love the colours within the bark and the deep fissures present.

If you have read my posts before, you will know that I am not really a fan of the plant plumbago. The flowers are quite nice though.

The bees were out enjoying the sunshine today. I saw loads of bees flying around the ten or so crepe myrtles here this morning. I love watching bees that are doing their thing.

Finally, a rather nice pink rose. I think I’ll miss looking after some roses-they aren’t that hard to look after really, they just need some fertiliser, dead heading in summer and a hair cut in late winter.

I am hoping that over the next couple of weeks I’ll find my mojo again. While there are reasons why I’m not loving work at the moment, I am determined to make sure that I do find a way to make my working life better again. Life is too short to be miserable!
