I like a good spider. I could actually spend all day looking at them in their webs. This morning, I have seen several while I’m working and I saw one dealing with its pray-the first time I’ve seen this particular process.

So this green grasshopper type thing (not really sure what it was) got stuck in the web and the spider promptly wrapped it up in a fresh bit of web thread stuff (again, not really sure what you would call it) and promptly polished off its meal. Fascinating stuff-I love watching stuff like this when I find it as it isn’t always obvious that it’s going on.

As well as spiders, I have seen dragonflies and other things I can’t actually name, but look like interesting critters all the same. I want to learn more, but I usually don’t have enough time to properly look at the moment. Once I’ve finished my studies, I aim to look through all my photos to see if I can find out what they are.
