Finally!

There is some good news today. On Monday, I got home from work to find that the scaffolding had disappeared from our patio area completely. The builders have finished their work. Or, at least they have only a bit to do before finishing. There are so many reasons for this being great news!

Almost clear patio area this morning

First and foremost, I can grow some of my own vegetables again now. I mainly use things like tomatoes, peppers, beetroot and other salad sorts of things for my lunches, so I’ll grow what I can over the summer months-even though I’ve had a three month delay!

Another good thing will be not having people in our private space. In one of those people who don’t like having people at home other than my immediate family. It’s somewhere that I don’t have to stand on ceremony and be tolerant of other people’s annoyances other than the ones I know well and can tell when to leave me alone because I’m grumpy!

When I get pottering I’m hoping I cheer up too. Recently I’ve felt so fed up with a lot of things. Work is driving me insane with boredom to the point I’m almost thinking of quitting this whole horticulture and gardening thing. I also can’t manage the place as I want to, which is worse! There is a perceived need to conform in a way that I’m not happy about and that is really crap-I can’t cope with conforming and never have been able to (too much like my dad for my own good!).

I’ve got to get back into gardening at home to get control back of my sanity and joy of plants. I have to get my peace back with the world-there isn’t a huge amount of love for it at the moment!

This boredom and malaise has really got to me over the past couple of weeks. I want to be able to do so much exploring and sharing of plants and why I have loved, and want to again, the world of plants, gardens and everything that goes with that.

My initial plan is to keep writing as much as I can. I have a lot I want to look at and talk about, it’s time the time needed to do it justice that I’m lacking! I’ll work on getting myself organised over the next week to fit all this in so I can do it justice and then get on with getting on!
