Today has been another rough day due to the temperature. It really has been a struggle to do much of anything since around eleven this morning. What I have done has been a lot slower than what I’d normally do, as I’m not driving myself into the ground any more than I am already, just to be told I’m still not doing enough. I don’t have the will or enthusiasm for this job to do that any more.

What I do have to say though is that there should be more plants around for the shade and cooling effects they provide. So many places have very little, or no, shade from plants. On really hot days like today, it is so important to have the shade just to get a break from the baking sun. This is especially true when working outside. It’s amazing how much this shade makes a difference on a hot day.

Unfortunately, I have an even hotter day to look forward to tomorrow. I will be starting earlier than usual, which is helpful but I will still be struggling like crazy!

No matter how tough my day though, I get to come home to this cute little furball who is always entertaining.
