Rain days are a thing that can seem great when you are rushed off your feet with work, you are hot and sweaty and go home really sore and tired.

When you get one, it does get really boring really quickly!

Today is one of those days that it’s raining in a way where you start getting wet really quickly if you try doing any sort of work at all. I also use electric power tools, which are no good in the rain.

I mention the tools as I have hedging that I was planning to do today if the forecast was wrong, but no-the forecast was right for once. How much rain we end up getting will be anybody’s guess! We are forecast to get up to 40mm-at home we have already had 22.8mm since midnight by lunchtime (I love geeking with my weather station stats, weird as I may be!).

I’m one of those people who has to be busy at work, I really don’t like sitting still. So, when it’s really wet I struggle. I’ve done my regular tool checks and maintenance and I’ve even been to get a new rake as I the old was is worn to uselessness.

In my boredom, I am actually glad of the rain-it is really needed. We haven’t had any for a good month or so and you can tell. It has been hard work and annoying having to pull out hoses and watering cans as watering takes up so much time-while you still have the usual stuff to do as well.

My job is either all or nothing in all aspects a lot of the time!
