Spring is definitely here

On my daily pottering at work, I walked past some of the roses that looked after and I have to say that I got a little excited. The reason for this is that one of the roses now has flower buds on it-three that I saw.

I find it amazing that I have seen one bud so quickly, as these roses only got pruned about a month ago. All of them are growing really, really well with the warm weather we have had over the past seven to ten days.

What is also nice is the fact that flax lilies are also flowering. They are a native of Australia and are rather pretty.

The firecracker plant is also looking rather fabulous in all its shaggy glory.

Finally for today, these Clovis flower buds looked really nice in the sun yesterday. The flowers are also looking lovely too.

It probably wont be too long before I am complaining about the heat once spring starts turning into summer, so I am enjoying it being ‘warm’. I’ll take that as a win.
