Plans for my garden

Having this coming week off from work is going to be good for my little patio garden. I have a few things that are going to get done over the week which are well overdue. Others are just nice to be done.

A bit of a mess to tidy up!

Job number one is to clean up. After the recent rain and a lack of time, energy or will over the past month or so, a good tidy up is in order. This will get done first so that the worst job is out the way.

Another job that I want to do is sow more seeds. This can be done over several days if I fancy, as I am in no rush to be anywhere in particular all week! As well as more peas (my first lot have all died) and beans, I want to sow the following:

  • Poppies
  • Sweet peas
  • Broccoli
  • Onions
  • Cornflowers
  • Borrage
  • Cabbage
  • Cauliflower

I also need to get some more growing media for my pots. The ones that have nothing growing in them need the growing media topping up at the best or replacing at the worst, so that’s a little trip out.

From there, I don’t have many other plans but it is a good start and will keep me busy between studying, sewing, knitting and the other household chores that always need attention.

I will keep you updated on my progress over the course of the week. I’m also hoping that my delightful little helper does not try digging up any more of my tiny little brassicas-which has happened, for no other reason than she thinks my pots are a good ideas as a cat litter tray (another reason to replace the growing media).

Cuddles the cat enjoying a warm bed!
