In my garden today

We have had a very wet May so far, with 137.4mm so far. Thankfully, the sun has shown its face today which I’m happy about, although I’m not convinced it will stay today! While my garden needs a clean up after all this rain and I don’t have the time to get out today to fully sort it out, I have been out for a little pottering.

Of my seedlings, the sweet peas are probably doing the best so far. This morning, I went out and potted them up as they were getting a bit of a lean on! I put some stakes in the pots too, so that they can climb happily from now on.

My beans and peas are continuing to grow well too.

I am happy to report that my capsicums are still growing well considering I thought I was well out of luck!

As I have said, I don’t have much time to get out and tidy up this weekend, but I have some annual leave booked for the start of June, so one of the things I will be doing is getting my garden all clean and tidy for the winter and also sowing more seeds, etc. This will be something I’ll enjoy as I can potter at my own pace and grow exactly what I want, which is great.
