This week has been warm and sunny but not with the crazy warm days we have had in the previous week. I’m going to show you some of my favourite things I’ve seen while at work.
These lovely blue flowers have appeared this week. I really do think that they look pretty.

Below are the yellow flowers of some clivias. I don’t usually see the yellow flowered ones, so I thought I’d include a picture.

Below is a rose that is starting to open up.

Below is some Japanese honeysuckle in flower.

Below is a great looking pink callistemon flower. They are always great looking at this time of year. I was driving along a road the other day and in the central reservation there were callistemons planted along it, looking fabulous with their red flowers (I couldn’t take a picture as I was driving).

Below is a close up of a gymea lily (Doryanthes excelsa) flower. Normally, the flowers are on this huge flower stalk up so I don’t normally see them this close up.

Another thing that I don’t usually see is a double flower on the same flower stalk of a Strelitzia reginae.

Another flower that I don’t see very often are those of Euphorbia millii. Related to the poinsettia, this is a strange looking plant, but for that I quite like it.

Here is Strelitzia nicolai with four flowers on the same flower stalk.

Finally, a bromeliad with lovely red leaves.

All photos are my own.
