Living in Sydney means I do get a lot of warm, if not hot, weather in the summer. Along with this comes humidity. Coming from England originally, I struggle with this combination of heat and humidity, so the cold weather of winter comes as a relief.

As a rather wise (in my opinion) taxi driver in Wellington, New Zealand once said to myself and my family ‘there is only so much clothing you can take off in hot weather, but you can always add more in winter’. I have to agree with this-I can just add another layer of clothing if I get too cold!
