Potting up and more nasturtium flowers

I had some more gardening to do this morning as I like doing a bit here and a bit there, rather than doing it all at once. I mainly did some potting up today. It’s also good to see my garden is progressing well as I’m walking around.

When out in my garden a couple of days ago, I noticed that many of my seedlings needed potting up. It’s mainly my tomatoes, chillies and capsicums that have been growing really well over the past week since they have been put outside in the sun. These are the ones that got potted up today-nine seedlings in total. The remaining tomatoes, etc, are still a little small, but won’t take too much longer to grow enough to then need potting up.

I also potted up one of my Brussels sprout plants. Some other sprouts seedlings have been eaten by snails, but many have been growing well.

On having a good look around the garden this morning, I saw a melon seedling. I honestly forgot that I had sown these seeds as nothing had appeared until today. I don’t know how well it will grow, bit it is a welcome addition to my garden.

I also have another variety of nasturtium flowering at the moment. All my nasturtiums are coming into their own now, which is fantastic as far as I’m concerned! The bright colourful nasturtium in the picture is the ‘Orchid Flame’ variety. I think this is my favourite one so far.

I also put some more potting mix into one of my potato bags-the third variety of potatoes I have growing is now almost catching the other two, so needed a top-up. All my potatoes are looking fabulously leafy and bushy at the moment, so I am fabulously happy. I am hoping the leafy growth will translate into plenty of spuds for the kitchen!

That’s my Monday garden session done and dusted, including some watering of the plants that needed it.

Until next time, happy gardening!
