Flowers in the garden

Today, Saturday, has turned out to be a rather wet day so far. We have had a few breaks in the rain and some sunshine, which is always nice to see. With the sun, I got out into the garden with my camera as there are now quite a few flowers out there now.

Most of my nasturtiums are now flowering or almost flowering. I have three for you here today. I am loving the colour of all of these nasturtium flowers now they are showing their faces in my garden.

Potato flowers are still here. They are also lovely, but in a different way to the nasturtiums above. Rather than showy and bright, they are more understated and delicate. Food crops can be look good as well as being functional and tasty.

Since going outside, my tomato, chilli and capsicum seedlings have really shot up in size. So much so that when I do some seed sowing tomorrow morning, I may have to do some potting up too. I’ll have a look in the morning to see more closely, but they will probably get potted up again. This is really good as I can’t wait to have my tomatoes, chillies and capsicums.

My Echeveria plants are doing well at the moment too. I do like the fact that if they get plenty of sunshine, the colours within the leaves are more pronounced than with less sun or being sat behind a window indoors.

Finally for today is my rather bossy little lady, Cuddles. She has had her knickers in a twist over something all morning. Here she had just been shouting at me for some attention, which she promptly got, of course! Even if she is rather bossy and grumpy-looking, she is very cute and rules the roost at home.

I was just excited to be out in the garden having a look at my plants, so that is all I have for now. Tomorrow morning, I will be sowing the seeds that I have planned to sow over the past week or so. I’ll probably sow some more too, just ti use up some of my seeds.

Until then, happy gardening!
