As I had an opportunity to take a quick walk through Sydney’s botanic garden before heading on to other places while I was out. I do love a good walk through these gardens, no matter how brief!
By my usual gate of entry into the gardens, I saw this lovely canna lily flower. There is a bed of these delightful plants, which I always enjoy seeing as there is always a brightly coloured flower or two as I walk past.

Nearby is one of my two favourite fig trees. I love the roots that extend down from the trees branches. I do love the form they take as they grow. I don’t know why I love these trees so much, but they do fascinate me.

Purple is one of my favourite colours, with this bearded iris showing off the colour perfectly, especially in the sun.

As I was walking along, I saw these birds enjoying some food in the form of these seeds on the dragon trees. I enjoyed watching them for a few minutes as they came and went.

Finally for today are the wonderfully colourful flowers of the tree aeonium. I love seeing flowers in winter, they always cheer me up.

While brief, I did enjoy my walk through the botanic gardens. I should make an effort to visit a little more often than I do.
