Flower Friday-26/06/26

I love winter in Sydney because it’s cool, the humidity is gone and there are still flowers appearing on plants. There is also sunny weather most of the time-what’s not to love?

Clivia flowers are always great because they are so cheery with their bright orange colour.

Bottle brush flowers are another great flower because of their strong colour, this time red. Again, I am rather partial to them. They are also native to Australia and the birds love them for their nectar.

The bird of paradise flower is often included in my Friday blogs because I the shape of the flowers is always interesting. They are another flower that birds love for the nectar.

Grevillea flowers are having a moment too. It’s not only that there are many flowers to be found in Sydney’s winter, it’s their form too-as I hope this post shows.

Finally for this week, the pink flowers of a flowering gum. They are always guaranteed to make my head turn, these flowers are very ‘Australian’ to me.

These are my flowers of the week. All colourful and all different in form-the perfect week in flowers.
