Fairly short and sweet this week, but still as colourful as usual-here are my flower highlights of the week.
There are not enough hibiscus flowers in my life at the moment, so I’m happy I saw this one yesterday. I love hibiscus flowers as they are colourful, huge and cheerful.

Frangipani flowers were a feature of last Friday’s post too, but they only last for a short time, so I’m making the most of these beautiful pink flowers. I do think that its a great thing that frangipani trees can grow in Sydney-I always associate them with tropical countries like Singapore so when I see them I get holiday vibes, even if I’m not on holiday!

Agapanthus flowers always put on a good show in late spring and early summer here in Sydney, especially when mass planted. While I prefer the purple flowers, these white flowers look good in the sunshine in this photo. They are a joy at the moment.

The next two photos are canna lily flowers. I love the colour of these two flowers so much, especially the fact that the shade of orange is different.

Oleander is a rather nice shrub, with very nice flowers. The one downside of the plant is that it is very toxic, so be careful! The white flowers are very pretty, but the double-flowered pink form is my favourite out of the two shown below.

Finally for today are the flowers of society garlic, with the name coming from the pungent smell of garlic that wafts from the plant, especially id the leaves are cut or broken in some way. Take it from me, this smell lingers on clothing until it’s been washed a couple of times! Despite the smell, I like the strappy leaves and delicate flowers of this smelly little plant.

That’s all for this week, so until next time, happy gardening!
