The same, but different

When I am working, I do like working at different sites sometimes as you get to see the plants you know but they look totally different. I have two of these plants today which I haven’t seen in their natural small tree/shrub form until today.

The first of these plants is duranta, which I normally see as a hedge and saw it as a small tree today. I can’t say that I am a fan of the hedged form of duranta because of the leaf colour, but I can also see why it isn’t used as a small tree too-the hedge does look better.

The next shrub is yesterday-today-tomorrow, which was hidden behind one other trees. I also prefer this when it’s a shrub, but also think it’s a pretty plant too.

Both of these plants show that maintenance of the plants in your garden is important if you want your garden to look its best.
