My week in photos

This week has been a fairly slow week in terms of plant photos-I’ve gone from almost completely melting in the heat on Tuesday and Wednesday to soaking wet at the end of the week. It hasn’t been fun really, but yesterday was a good day as we went out with visiting family for lunch, making a nice change.

Kangaroo paws are one of those flowers that shouts odd Australian plant to me. As always though, they are utter great in their oddity. I also love the colour of these flowers-i don’t see many in this yellow-green colour.

I have several salvias that are rather quick growing at work. They are planted with some roses and do rather take over that garden bed really quickly. I cut them back on Monday and they are already growing more flowers. The second photo is a flower from the start of the week.

These pretty title flowers belong to a crassula species, possibly the fairy crassula. Whatever the actual species, it’s a rather pretty little thing.

This lovely flower is a peace lily flower. While it is white, which is far from my favourite colour, it has an interesting form.

While I was out yesterday, we saw several Christmas related decorations. While I never really feel like it’s getting festive here in Australia because Christmas is in summer (instead of England’s winter), I quite liked seeing all the Crees and decorations. Here are my three favourites.
