Observation in and of everything in your garden is key for it to be good looking and productive. Going out for a few minutes every day and having a good looking around means you can see what’s normal for your garden at all times of year. You see what’s normal pests are coming, what plants need a bit of extra care and what is doing really well, before anything gets out of control. Observation allows you to then deal with that situation and get your garden going again.
It’s also good because you come across the unexpected too. When I should have been finishing off my monstrous plumbago hedge on a slope hedging job, I thought I’d grab a few quick photos of some eucalypt flowers when I saw lots of beetles on the said flowers. They were having a party by the looks of things! I don’t have a clue what they are at this moment in time-google search tells me a different thing with each photo. I’ll look in a few books at home, but I can’t promise I’ll find what I’m looking at will be named correctly by me!

Spiders have been very visible in the warm weather this week too. I’m not sure why people are bothered by spiders they are so helpful at home and in the garden. ladybirds are fairly common too.

Finding insects is always interesting as I’m working and that’s all I’ve found today so I’ll speak soon.
