To be a kid at heart doesn’t mean childish in any way. To me, being a kid at heart means you get excited by the things you enjoy, whether that’s a cup of tea first thing in the morning or going to that place you’ve always wanted to go to on holiday.

It’s also taking an interest in, and enjoy doing, something outside of work, housework and the everyday usual life. I enjoy sewing and knitting (I’m a bit of an old lady at heart in a lot of ways!), and also enjoy seeing a ladybird or a bee on a flower. Do I get to do these things all the time? No, but I enjoy them because I don’t do, or see them, all the time.

If you can find some enjoyment and childish wonder in something the that is being a kid at heart, so embrace it!
