Over the past week, we have had about 64mm of rain, which doesn’t seem to have done much at all! Of course, this is mainly because the previous few weeks have been so dry that hoses and watering can have been out getting used.
This is the one of the hardest parts of my job sometimes. When the rain isn’t raining, and there is no irrigation in the garden beds means running around with hoses as well as trying to get all your other jobs done-time often runs away with you. At least the days go quick!
We are apparently forecast to get a cooler, wetter summer again this year. So far, I’ve not really seen much of the rain this spring. As for the cooler part, I can to really judge as spring can be very variable at times, especially as it starts. We shall see-weather forecasts seem to be less accurate compared to how they used to be, even a couple of years ago!
If I can avoid hours of running around with hoses over summer then I’ll be happy!
