After my new little pots arrived this week, I decided it was about time I got myself into a gear and get some seeds sown.

On Saturday, I got my vegetable seeds sown as these are my priority for my little garden. I have also got to admit that I got a bit carried away with sowing all sorts of tomato and chilli seeds-I had several more varieties than I remember so I decided to just give them all a go and then grow the one we like best next year.

The seeds sown on Saturday include:
- Watermelon ‘Golden Midget’
- Chilli ‘Maui Purple’
- Tomato ‘Green Zebra’
- Capsicum ‘California Wonder’
- Tomato ‘Nonna Peppino’
- Beetroot ‘Mini Gourmet’
- Tomato ‘Blue Berries’
- Chilli ‘Padron’
- Chilli ‘Early Jalapeno’
- Rockmelon ‘Minnesota Midget’
- Tomato ‘Pink Bumble Bee’
- Tomato ‘Tommy Toe’
- Tomato ‘San Marzano’
- Capsicum ‘Sweet Chocolate’
- Tomato ‘Jaune Flamme’
- Tomato ‘Wapsipinicon Peach’
- Broccoli ‘Green Sprouting’
- Cabbage ‘Red Drumhead’
- Tomato ‘Black Cherry’
- Pea ‘Suger Snap’ Dwarf
- Beetroot ‘Bulls Blood’
- Capsicum ‘Sweet Mini Mix’
- Loofah
- Broccoli ‘Waltham Organic’
- Spring onion ‘Evergreen Trident’
- Beetroot ‘Heirloom Mix’
- Pumpkin ‘Jack Be Little’
- Bean ‘Speckled Cranberry’
- Bean ‘Painted Lady’
- Cucumber ‘Mini White’
- Chilli ‘Joe’s Long Cayenne’
- Sweet Pea ‘Flora Norton’-the random flower seeds that did get through the no flowers rule, as I picked it up by accident on my way out to the seed sowing station (currently the floor, but I’m hoping to change that)

The list is really, really long! I’m hoping that I do well with these, as I think that I these plants will keep me rather busy!

As the builders still haven’t finished whatever it is that that they need to do, I don’t really want to have any more pots around. It is so frustrating as they were supposed to have finished whatever they were doing by the end of last month, but on Friday were putting up a bit of scaffolding. Who knows when they will be done? It seems a universal fact that builders always take longer than estimated to do anything!

As for the seedlings that I have previously sown, the broccoli, beetroot and tomatoes will hopefully be ready to pot up next week, which is really good. I did sow some capsicum seeds at the same time, but they failed to germinate. That’s ok, you can never expect a 100% germination rate and I have sown some more anyway. My cabbage and other random brassica are both putting on new growth still, which is good.
Anyway, that’s all for garden news this week. Bye for now.
