That Friday feeling!

This week has felt quite long and I’m so glad that it’s Friday today, where I can have two whole days of doing less physical work than I do whilst actually working! I put it like this because I will still be busy doing the usual housework, resuming my studies a few weeks break and hopefully plenty of chances to cuddle my adorable cat!

Cuddles looking cute, sleepy and dirty after causing mischief outside!

I don’t have as many plant pictures for you today, but I do have a few to share. The first one is of a species of Meterosideros. I love these flowers, with the shrub being rather pretty as a whole.

Flax lily (specifically Dianella cearulea in this instance) is a really pretty, strappy plant native to Sydney. I’ve been waiting for some plants to flower so I can grab a couple of photos. I now have some.

Clivias are seen in so many gardens here in Sydney, mainly because they do so well here. They are common enough to be at the point of boring, but these orange flowers do steal the show in a rather big way!

Yesterday-today-tomorrow is a rather interesting plant as the flowers change colour as they age, from purple to white. This looks incredibly pretty when the full show is happening, as you can see below.

That’s all I have for today, so I shall wish you all a good weekend.
