I’m from England originally and had no reason to leave the country at all. My husband had the chance to work in Australia, which he had always wanted to do.

I gave it a thought for all of a couple days and thought ‘why not?’. If I didn’t like it, it was a flight back.

I got to Sydney and honestly thought I’d made the wrong choice, but from when I woke up the next morning to now, over twelve years later, I was happy.

Of course nowhere is perfect but the risk I took was worth it
