My garden this month

As life has been getting away from me again, with my dad coming over at Easter and life in general, I’ll talk about what I’ve done recently and what I will do over the next month or so.

On Easter weekend, I cleared all dead plants out of the way and had a general tidy up, including a good sweep of my patio. I also sowed some broad bean and pea seeds out too. Some have germinated, but that is actually a surprise as not long after sowing, we had a crazy amount of rain and my pots flooded!

I have still been getting some little tomatoes off my plants. As always, they are really tasty and one of my favourites.

If I get chance this weekend, I’ll be sowing the following seeds:

  • Sweet peas
  • Broccoli
  • Onions
  • Poppies
  • Any other autumn sowing seeds I fancy as I look through my seeds

Now that we are about half way through autumn here in Sydney, the weather is finally getting cooler. I’m so happy about this as I actually really English and wilt in temperatures higher than about thirty degrees Celsius!
