Having been on holiday for the past week, I had a good nosey round in my garden earlier this evening before it got dark. A lot of my plants are looking rather worse for wear, which isn’t a surprise.
My cucumbers really do look unhealthy, all wilting and looking like they have some sort of fungal thing going on some of the leaves.

My avocado trees are also looking really sad without the regular watering they usually get (mainly due to being in pots).

Some of my tomato vines have grown enough to start leaning over due to not being staked at the time we went on holiday, but beyond the odd dry, crispy, brown leaf they appear fine.
My beans aren’t too happy either. The flowers and flower buds that were present before I went on holiday are now just crispy relics of their former glory. The plants are still alive so there is a chance of some recovery-even if this is in my head!

I do have one very nice looking everlasting daisy, I still have some tomatoes growing and my cacti look awesome, so it isn’t all bad!

While all my garden woes are mainly down to a lack of water and hot weather (we had a couple of forty degree Celcius days) while I was away, I am worried that my cucumber plants have some sort of disease going on, so tomorrow I will try and work out what is going on there. I will also fertilise all of my plants, just to help get them going again. All plants got a good water today too and things are looking better now that they are taking up that water. For now, it is a case of hoping things recover and getting back to the usual huge post-holiday laundry!
