The colour of the rose below is great, so I just had to include it for its fabulous red glory.

Again, the pink rose below is fabulous and showy in the sunshine.

This flower and flower buds come from Murraya paniculata. Here in Australian this tree is commonly used for hedging so you rarely see it as a tree. The flowers are small but smell fabulous, and you can smell them from a fair distance away too.

Below is the yellow flower of Dietes bicolour. This is fairly common here in Sydney. It is a native of South Africa and is a hardy plant in the landscape.

Next is a plant that I learnt as Gaura lindheimeri, or butterfly bush. Doing a quick online search, this lovely little plant has the new name of Oenothera lindheimeri. Either way, it’s a pretty plant that looks good anywhere.

This ginger below is Hedychium gardnerianum, or Kabila ginger, a native of India, Bhutan and Nepal. This plant does have a very pretty flower, but this is an environmental weed in New South Wales (where I live) and other states in Australia.

The next picture is of some random mushrooms I found and that I think look interesting.

Some peeling Eucalyptus tree bark is next, just because I always find this process fascinating.

Finally, I think the rose below has the best colour of any rose I’ve seen. I’m not sure why that is, but I do think part of the attraction is the way it fades from this bright orange to an almost pinkish colour.
