I have a couple of plants that I enjoyed looking at today, both completely different to each other.
The first one is Strelitzia Nicolas, common name Giant Bird of Paradise. Like their smaller orange-flowered counterparts, they have an interesting flower but a different, and larger, growth habit with a blue and white flower.

This particular plant still looks tidy, which made it stand out. Once they get large and overgrown, they tend to look really bad!
Next is a an Australian native called Callicoma serrstafolia. Its a small tree that is rather unassuming and you don’t see in cultivation. I often see it when I’m in Lane Cove National Park that’s close to where I live.
